Delta is really three communities, and each keeps us busy in its own way. In North Delta, the split-levels and older houses with basement suites in Sunshine Hills, Scottsdale and Annieville mean a lot of furniture carried up a flight of stairs. Ladner mixes older houses near the village with townhouses and newer streets, and the farmland around it has acreages with sheds and outbuildings that fill up over the years. Tsawwassen has plenty of older ranchers and family houses near Boundary Bay and English Bluff, where downsizing cleanouts and garden makeovers are common. Delta's free Large Item Pick-Up won't take yard trimmings or renovation materials, and that's a big share of what we haul here.

Delta's Large Item Pick-Up vs. Calling Us
The City of Delta has a free Large Item Pick-Up program for homes with curbside garbage collection. It's handy for a sofa or a washer, but it has limits. According to the City's page (checked October 2026):
- Single-family homes with curbside collection get up to 4 large items a year. The count restarts every January.
- Pickups are booked through the City's collection contractor, and items go to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the assigned day.
- Every item must be liftable by two people, and in one piece (upholstered furniture must be dry). Small items and bagged household stuff aren't accepted.
- No yard trimmings, stumps, dirt, rock or sod.
- No construction, demolition or renovation materials: no countertops, cabinets, drywall, wood, flooring, concrete or roofing, and no toilets, tubs or sinks.
That's exactly where we help. Delta's program won't take yard waste or renovation materials, and we do the loading for both. If you've already used your four items, have more than a few things, or don't want to haul it all to the curb, text us a photo.

Can you clear out sheds and outbuildings on a Ladner acreage?
Yes. On acreages around Ladner we load out the contents of sheds, garages and outbuildings: old furniture, broken equipment, scrap metal, fencing, lumber and brush. Scrap metal goes for recycling whenever possible. Heavy loads like concrete or dirt are priced as heavy loads, typically from $300 per load. Send photos of everything and we'll confirm one price before we load.
Do you take garden waste from Tsawwassen and Ladner yards?
Yes. Hedge trimmings, branches, leaves, sod and old shrubs are all fine. Delta's Large Item Pick-Up doesn't take yard trimmings, stumps, dirt or sod, and Metro Vancouver bans yard trimmings from regular garbage, so we keep yard waste separate and compost it whenever possible. Once the beds are cleared, we can also bring bark mulch or garden soil to finish them.
Will Delta's Large Item Pick-Up take yard waste or reno debris?
No. Delta's program doesn't take yard trimmings, stumps, dirt, rock or sod, and doesn't take construction, demolition or renovation materials. It's also limited to 4 items a year that two people can lift. We load and haul both yard waste and renovation debris.
